The 53-acre Centre of Excellence at Mulugu shows farmers how to raise chilli, brinjal, onion and tomato nurseries in plug trays under shade net. Siddipet is one of the four vegetable crop colony districts in the state horticulture plan. Telangana heatwaves often push temperatures above 45°C, which is hard on young seedlings without cover.
