Overview

About Mulch Film

Plastic mulch film is laid over raised beds before planting. It keeps moisture in the soil, stops weeds from coming up between plants and helps keep soil temperature steady — so crops grow more evenly and irrigation water goes further.

Gopal Agritech supplies silver/black mulch film in common thicknesses and bed widths, in 400 m rolls, with zig-zag or centre-hole punching to suit your plant spacing.

FAQ

Mulch Film questions

Can't find your answer? Ask us directly.

  • Which thickness of mulch film should I choose?

Mulch film is available in 20, 25 and 30 micron. Tell us your crop and season and we will suggest a thickness.

  • What widths and roll lengths are available?

    Widths of 2.5, 3.25, 4, 5 and 6 ft, in 400 m rolls.

  • Why is the film silver on one side and black on the other?

The black side faces the soil and blocks light so weeds cannot grow; the silver side faces up and reflects light back towards the plant.

  • Do you supply punched (holed) mulch film?

Yes — zig-zag and centre-hole punching are available. Share your plant spacing when you enquire.
